All Star Planning - HB Cal Ripken Baseball
by posted 05/12/2012

All Star Planning

Although it's only early May, All Star preparations are in full swing.  Nominations for potential team members for our U9, U10, U11 and U12 teams are being collected now.  We wanted to take a moment to lay out the commitment level and tournament dates well in advance.

Participating on an HB Cal Ripken All Star team is a sizeable commitment.  Each player selected for the team is required to be available for the following tournaments:

U9: Swanzy Tourney June 21-25; July 6-12 (District Tourney in Keene, NH); July 11 - 15 SVI Tourney (Hollis & Brookline); July 21-26 (State Tourney in Walpole, NH should the team qualify)

U10: Swanzy Tournament, June 14-18, June 22 - 27 District Tourney (Brookline Hosting); July 6-12 Exeter (State Tourney in Exeter should the team qualify); July 11 - 15 SVI Tourney (Hollis & Brookline)

U11: Swanzy Tourney June 21-25; July 7-12 (District Tourney Merrimack, NH);  ; July 11 - 15 SVI Tourney (Hollis & Brookline); July 21-26 (State Tourney in Merrimack should the team qualify)

U12: Swanzy Tournament, June 14th-18th; June 23-30 (Area Tourney, Nashua North hosting); July 7-12 (State Tourney in Rochester, NH should the team qualify); July 11 - 15 SVI Tourney (Hollis & Brookline)

Practices will begin in early June (1-2 times per week) on non-conflicting days with a player's HB regular season team.  Following the completion of the player's HB Cal Ripken season, you can expect 3-4 practices per week until the team is eliminated.

Team selections and/or tryouts will take place by the end of May.

Thanks and here's to no more rain!
